Former X Factor contestants Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson took the charts by storm with their debut single, What Makes You Beautiful, in September.
The upbeat tune went straight to number one and notched up the highest first-week sales of 2011, shifting 153,000 copies record in seven days.
Their hard work and adoring fans have now been rewarded with a Brit nomination, based on commercial radio airplay and sales. Music fans will get the chance to vote for who takes home the gong at the ceremony on 21 February.
