The launch of The Voice, the BBC's new singing contest with a difference, is getting ever closer and today the show's first full-length trailer debuted.
The clip sees the reality show's esteemed coaches - Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Jessie J, and Danny O'Donoghue - react to the first 'voice' to be showcased on screen so far.
Although not very meaty, the trailer does introduce viewers to the show's unusual format in which auditions are blind and the coaches are tasked with pressing their red button if they like the sound of the contestant's voice - without any looking at his or her face! The hope is that this eliminates anyone getting into the next round of the competition based on the way they look or other appealing factors.
Today it was reported Strictly Come Dancing's remaining judges are demanding more money after seeing how much the coaches on The Voice are being paid (Black Eyed Pea star Will.i.am is is reportedly on a deal worth £500,000).
And now it looks like the Strictly gang have something else to be jealous of - The Voice coaches' red swiveling chairs are far superior to the ballroom show's glittery desk.
Read interviews with The Voice's coaches on the site from Monday, with full coverage of the show starting from Saturday 24 March.
